About me - Max Arvidsson

I'm a Swede born and raised coming from a music background. Throughout my life, I have always been doing music in some form or another. I've played a lot of instruments untill I landed on voice and guitar. Later in my life, I moved to Canada and finished my masters in music. This was during the pandemic, which I then started to work at Shopify as a multilingual specialist.

Something that the pandemic allowed me to do wat to explore both my creative side and my technical side. This was great because I can use this both at work and outside of work. I decided to pick up coding because this is something that has always interested me. During high school, I took a programming course and I took a python course during my undergraduate as well. The interested has always been there, but I never had the time to really dive into it because I was busy diving into music.

Now that I have dived into my music, I have the time to dive into coding, creating and learning. I'm currently learning React and Next.js, which is what this website is built on. What I prefer to learn is to do is to learn back end stuff, but I strongly believe that it is important to have both front and backend experience. This way, I can have some idea of of stuff work on the front end, even though that is not my focus. Why else would I be working on this little website?

Right now, my plan is to continue work on learning JS, but also be open to learning other langauges as well. Any learning experience I can get is something I will take to get better and better.
